privacy is our priority

This document was last updated September, 2007.

We are committed to protecting our users' personal and financial information. In the course of providing our services, we need to collect and maintain certain personal information, both public and nonpublic. This Privacy Statement answers some questions about what personal information we collect, what we do with it, and how we protect it.

What types of personal information do we collect?

When you apply for, create, or maintain an account with us, we collect information which you provide online and on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, phone number(s) and email address. We do not collect or store Social Security Numbers or Date of Births.

When you subscribe to or purchase one of our products or services, and depending on the chosen payment method, we may collect credit card numbers, security codes, Paypal or Google account identifier, bank account numbers and routing numbers. However, for your security, we do not store any of this information except for the PayPal or Google account identifier or the last four digits of the credit card or bank account number that you provide.

What types of personal information do we disclose?

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about current or former users to anyone, except as permitted by law or to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities.

To what types of entities do we disclose personal information?

We also may disclose information about you to companies that service, maintain, or process for us your transactions and accounts. For example, we may provide information to companies that prepare and mail statements or transaction confirmations. We will temporarily provide these companies with only the personal information they need to provide these services. We require these companies to protect this personal information to the same standard we do and prohibit them from using or disclosing your information except for the limited purpose and to the persons for whom disclosure was intended, or as otherwise permitted by law.

How do we protect your personal information?

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that meet or exceed industry standards to guard your personal information. We protect your account information by placing it on the secure portion of our website where we use firewalls, SSL and other security technology to protect our network and systems from external attacks. We require you to enter a unique user name and password to access your account information online. Data is strongly encrypted during transmission to ensure that personal and payment information is secure. Furthermore, a variety of encryption techniques are used to protect any personal or payment information stored on our servers.

What opt-outs of disclosure are available?

The law allows you to opt-out of our sharing personal information about you in certain circumstances with affiliated and nonaffiliated companies; that is, you may direct us to not make such disclosures. We do not currently share information about you with any affiliate or third party that triggers this opt-out right. Therefore, there is no need for you to opt-out. If in the future we desire to disclose your information in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, we will notify you in advance and provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of such disclosure.

What about HTTP Cookies?

HTTP Cookies are small amounts of data that a website can send to your web browser and store on your computer. We use cookies to help keep track of a user's session on the website as well as to store a user's temporary preferences. We also use cookies to keep a user's session active even if the browser has been closed. Because of the vulnerabilities associated with cookies, we do not store any personal or confidential information in our cookies. There is no possible way for a third-party to extract any personal data directly out of the cookies that we store.

Although you can set most browsers to refuse to accept cookies, this may affect your ability to use all of our services. As previously noted, our cookies are completely safe and there is no need to limit your browsers settings on our account.

What about my IP Address?

IP (Internet Protocol) Addresses are unique addresses that electronic devices (such as your computer) use across the Internet to communicate with each other. Your IP address is transmitted by your computer to our servers every time your browser accesses any page on our website. This is a built-in function in your browser and cannot be disabled. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, block violators, compile demographic information, and to administer our website.
